The creator of the Grapefruit diet was Kelly D. Brownell. It was created it in the 1930's.This diet claims that grapefruit helps burn body fat when eaten with foods high in dietary fat. The grapefruit diet encourages consumption of meat, eggs, and other foods that are rich in fat and protein. With this diet of extremely low calorie intake could lead to malnutrition and many health problems. The grapefruit diet also does not require exercise. I would not recommend this diet to a friend because although you lose weight, it is a diet that effects your health in a negative way.
